How Can You Make a Difference?

A True Church

According to U.S. Tax Code, “a church, its integrated auxiliaries, and conventions and associations of the church are excluded from taxation.”1  Section 508(c) of the Internal Revenue Code provides that churches are not required to apply for recognition of Section 501(c)(3) status in order to be exempt from federal taxation or to receive tax-deductible contributions. Churches are automatically exempt from Federal income tax, and contributions to churches are deductible by donors under section 170. “By establishing its exemption, potential contributors are assured by the [Internal Revenue] Service that contributions will be deductible.”2

Churches, according to the IRS and Federal government, are exempt from seeking 501(c)3) status and are automatically considered tax exempt.3

In-Kind

In-Kind donations are tangible goods including things like candles, computers, books, cars, furniture, and church and/or office supplies. Goods may also be intangible, such as advertising, legal services, and other needed services. Goods may be used, surplus, or new.

In-Kind values are determined by “Fair Value” and are always corroborated with the person making the donation.

Property

Generally considered an “In-Kind” donation, donating real estate can provide years of financial security for our programs and ministries. We are looking for old schools, hotels, or even farms that we can convert to a fully running center.

Prayers

Perhaps the most overlooked, but desperately needed is prayer. Our programs would not exist if it weren’t for the unending prayers of our patrons and parishioners.

Thank you for thinking of us and for keeping us in your heart. We ask the Creator to hear your prayers and bring them to fruition!
