March 11, 2022 I've been given permission to release the appropriate information, however, I think there is a better way to begin our transition to our new way of BEing Church. For now, the only announcement we will share is that Fr. Kenn is no longer under the Independent Catholic system of churches. We are, instead, now under the Anglican Free Communion International (AFCI) in a diocese especially built for building missional presences throughout the world. This change was precipitated by much prayer and consultation, as well as tears, heartache, and hard learned lessons. This change moves us away from the fiefdoms, power-struggles, and dolly dressups towards a much more healthy expression of service, as well as mental and spiritual stability. This website will change over time to include additional information about the AFCI and our continued growth as we find our center on this sacred path. Blessings+
March 1, 2022 Well, it's not quite official yet - we are waiting on word from our new bishop and diocese as to when we can begin to spread the good news. Folks, I can't emphasize this enough - the Pastoral Center, our ministries, and myself are all in a position to bring some real and healthy change to ministry. A new position has been carved out for a missional diocsese that will see to the mental health needs of not only the servants, but also of the very people being served - to ensure the cycle of religious trauma does not infiltrate this incredible organization. So, stay tuned as we continue to work with our new bishop and diocese. This is a major undertaking and it is already growing by leaps and bounds.
February 7, 2022 In the early part of January 2022, Fr. Kenn received a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help develop and grow truly trauma-informed mental health into a religious community. Fr. Kenn's own journey within the Independent Sacramental Movement has helped him recognize the need for a more complete and 'w'holistic or "whole-being" focus in ministry. For centuries, religious denominations engaged in egregious and unhealthy behaviors that have damaged the People of God. Now, we have an opportunity to renew the mind, emotion, and spirit of each person we encounter - as well as for those who serve. More infromation will be forthcoming as we grow into the new position within the new framework of the new institution under which we now receive our sacramental authority.
